About Us
Established 2000 · Naliya, Kutch
From a shared dream to a place of welcome — for over two decades, Shri Chandraprabh Jain Atithi Bhawan has offered pilgrims to Naliya a home away from home, in a spirit of seva and devotion.
Our place
About Naliya
On the western edge of Kutch, in the Abadasa taluka of Gujarat, lies Naliya — the birthplace of the revered Jati Shiromani Sheth Shri Narshi Natha, and a town once known as Nalinpur.
Naliya is among the principal shrines of the Abadasa Panch Tirthi. Its 175+ year-old Shri Chandraprabh and Shri Shantinath Jinalay — the Virvasai Tunk — is renowned for its sixteen shikhars and exquisite work in stone, gold and glass. Blessed with the coolest climate in Gujarat, Naliya is fondly called the Kashmir of Kutch.
Our home
About the Atithi Gruha
As Naliya's families spread across India for work, the village grew quiet — yet pilgrims and devotees kept arriving. To welcome them, the Shri Kachchhi Dasa Oswal Jain (Naliyawasi) Mumbai Charitable Trust set out to build an atithi bhawan worthy of this tirth.
Begun in 2000 and carried through the great Kutch earthquake, the Shri Chandraprabh Jain Atithi Bhawan was inaugurated on the auspicious Ashadhi Bij in June 2001. From ten rooms it has grown — an upahar grah, a multi-purpose hall and, in its silver-jubilee year, an all-new building with modern amenities.
Our journey
At a community sammelan, a sankalp is taken to return to the vatan for Paryushan each year.
The Mumbai mandal becomes a Trust, formally registered on 6 March 2000.
The Atithi Bhawan is inaugurated on Ashadhi Bij (23 June), soon after the Kutch earthquake — ten rooms with all modern amenities.
The Atithya Uphar Grah opens, adding breakfast and tea-coffee service for guests.
A new multi-purpose hall with kitchen is inaugurated for functions and sangh stays.
In its 25th year, bhoomi-pujan marks a full renovation and a new lift-equipped building.
Jan Seva ej Prabhu Seva
“Not what the community does for me, but what I do for the community.”Jati Shiromani Sheth Shri Narshi Natha
Our vision is to keep alive the bond between our people and their vatan — and to serve, with devotion, all who come to Naliya. This guides everything the Trust does, across three enduring aims.
Atithi Seva
A welcoming home with modern facilities and pure sattvik bhojan for every pilgrim and visitor to Naliya.
Medical Seva
Free medical camps for this remote region since 2002 — over 10,000 patients cared for, with check-ups, medicines and even operations.
Education & Support
Scholarships for students of the community and a helping hand for families in genuine need.
